Jeanine’s daughter, Jenny J Taylor, proudly manages her mother’s art collection. When Jeanine was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, Jenny found great comfort and healing in the art displayed throughout hospitals. This experience deepened their shared understanding of the profound importance of art in healing spaces. Jeanine has long felt called to see her work experienced in hospitals, wellness centers, and environments that support both physical and mental well-being. Her framed paintings, murals, and hand-painted details already bring beauty and presence to private homes and public spaces, and her passion for holistic therapies and the spaces that nurture them continues to inspire her artistic vision.
Different Expressions of Her Creativity
Jeanine’s creativity has always propelled her to express herself in many artful ways. Moved by a passion to convey her experiences with Mother Nature, she sought to capture the essence of the natural world with each brushstroke and pastel line. Getting closer to nature’s spirit was both her reward and her calling, and it was in this pursuit that her true talent and creativity deepened. Sharing this gift with others became her greatest joy.
The Artist
Arriving in Northern California over a decade ago to live and paint marked both a physical and spiritual journey. Jeanine began her artistic expressions as a child through colored pencil drawings, delighted when neighbors purchased her early works. In her twenties, she embarked on a career in interior design and went on to lead a successful design company for more than thirty years. She remained deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring beauty and joy into the lives of so many through her work and her art.
The Movement
Jeanine’s creativity found form in many mediums, from murals and wall finishes to vibrant paintings in acrylics and pastels. She loved to paint en plein air, letting the natural world move her to create. When an image in nature captured her heart, she could often be found at her easel outdoors, responding to what touched her spirit and transforming it into art. She also taught creativity classes and illustrated children’s books, always seeking to nurture the innate creativity within everyone.
The Creativity
When asked by a student to define creativity, Jeanine replied, “Creativity is bringing the formless into form.” She then added, “and the form into formlessness.” This philosophy embodied her life’s work. She was always drinking in the essence of nature and translating its spirit into visual form. Painting was not simply an option for Jeanine. It was the way she connected with life itself, something she could not imagine living without.
The Invitation from Jeanine
“I invite you in, to be still, and explore what is possible in each moment. From this place, this space, is a wondrous invitation to love more fully, to laugh more often, and to share the joy of who and what we are. Express this essence as appreciation and as creativity.”
